The best water in Visapuram

Kids gather at a well in North IndiaA Letter from Pastor Sanjiv

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord. I would like to share with you the story of living water in my community.

When I came to Visapuram to lead the church, the village was divided. Most of the people were Muslims or Hindus. Only a few of us were Christians, and we had no privileges. The Muslims and the Hindus had sources of water—open wells dug by hand. We were drinking from the river.

A few years ago, the church built a meeting place at the edge of the village. We tried to dig our own well, but could not get deep enough to find good water. Another pastor told me to call Mr. Kumar at Living Water International. The day the team came to drill a well was one of the happiest days of my life.

We have the best water in Visapuram. Everyone wants to use our well, and we are happy to share. We give water to our neighbors—Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs—and we do it in the name of Jesus Christ. We meet at the well. We talk and pray. Visapuram is a different place now.

Thank you for your prayers.

May our Lord bless you deeply for sharing living water with us, and helping us share it with others.
